Chicago Cubs Baseball

It’s opening day at Wrigley Field. The Milwaukie Brewers take on the Chicago Cubs. Maddie and I are ready to watch the game. Maddie is wearing her Cubs shirt and hat that Grandpa Smith got her. The Cubs paid tribute to “Mr. Cub” Ernie Banks with a statue in front of Wrigley Field. I think this is something that was well earned and deserved. I also have read all the hype about Kosuke Fukudome, the Cubs new Right Fielder, and was anxious to see him play. His first time at bat he hit a double to center field on the first pitch. Not a bad start. Unfortunately he was left stranded on 3rd base. Then he hits a 3 run homer in the bottom of the 9th to tie the game. But, I'm sad to say they lost anyway. The rain delays made for a long game, but it made some good photo taking time.

We have our rally caps on.

Go Cubs Go!

Just kickin' back, watchin' the game

Hey Doug-
Didn't know you had a blog too! I look at Liam's place and enjoy his cute little pics! Your little girl is so cute! They are such a precious gift. I saw your post on Liam's site, so I decided to take a peek!
I'm happy to see someone is still keeping track of the Cubbies!
Good to see you have such a wonderful little family.
